Dräger Ammonia 20/a-D Diffusion Tube

The Dräger Ammonia 20/a-D Diffusion Tube measures ammonia levels from 20 to 1,500 ppm. It has a maximum operating time of 8 hours and a shelf life of 2 years.

For measurement, the standard ranges include:

• 20 to 1,500 ppm: 1 hour
• 10 to 750 ppm: 2 hours
• 4 to 300 ppm: 5 hours
• 2.5 to 200 ppm: 8 hours

The colour changes from yellow to blue during use. The tube operates effectively in temperatures between 0 and 40 °C and at humidity levels of 1 to 16 mg H2O/L.

This tube uses bromophenol blue to react with ammonia. However, it cannot measure ammonia in the presence of other basic gases.
