Dräger Short-Term Detection Tubes – Chlorine Dioxide 0.025/a
These Dräger Safety short-term detection tubes are specifically designed to measure Chlorine Dioxide gas levels with precision. More specifically, the Chlorine Dioxide 0.025/a tubes can detect concentrations ranging from 0.1–1 ppm and 0.025–0.1 ppm, ensuring reliable results in various conditions.
Ambient Operating Conditions:
For optimal performance, these tubes operate under specific environmental parameters:
- Temperature: 0 to 50 °C
- Absolute Humidity: ≥ 50 mg/L
Reaction Principle:
The detection process is straightforward and involves the following chemical reaction:
- ClO2 + o-Tolidine → light green reaction product
Cross Sensitivity:
Although these tubes effectively measure Chlorine Dioxide, they do not display certain values due to cross-sensitivity. For example, the following concentrations are not shown:
- 1 ppm Cl2
- 10 ppm H2S
- 1 ppm SO2
- 10 ppm methyl mercaptan
- 1 ppm bromide (note: discoloration occurs at n = 30)
