The IRmax Remote Calibration Box is a specialized accessory for offshore environments, where tough conditions require durable equipment. This box allows maintenance personnel to calibrate the IRmax infrared gas detector remotely. As a result, they can perform necessary calibrations without needing direct access to the detector, which is especially useful in hard-to-reach or hazardous areas.

Built from glass-fibre reinforced polyester (GRP), the calibration box withstands harsh environmental conditions, including exposure to corrosive elements found offshore. It features lead connectors and a retaining clip to securely attach an IRmax remote calibration pipe, ensuring a stable and accurate calibration process.

The box connects to a hand-held IR Display and allows for the application of test gas during calibration. For safe operation in explosive atmospheres, the IRmax detector must have an Intrinsically Safe (I.S.) Barrier Module and an I.S. connecting lead.
