IRmax Remote Calibration Box is a specialised accessory designed for use in offshore environments, where harsh conditions demand durable and reliable equipment. This calibration box enables the remote calibration of the IRmax infrared gas detector, allowing maintenance personnel to perform necessary calibrations without needing direct access to the detector itself. This is especially beneficial in hard-to-reach or hazardous areas where safety and accessibility are primary concerns.

Housed in a GRP (glass-fibre reinforced polyester) enclosure, the IRmax Remote Calibration Box is built to withstand tough environmental conditions, including exposure to corrosive elements common in offshore locations. The robust enclosure is equipped with lead connectors and a retaining clip for securely attaching an IRmax remote calibration pipe, ensuring a stable and accurate calibration process.

The box allows for the connection of a hand-held IR Display and the application of test gas for calibration. For this setup to work, the IRmax detector must be fitted with an I.S. (Intrinsically Safe) Barrier Module, and an I.S. connecting lead is required to ensure safe operation in explosive atmospheres.
