Description
Dräger X-am Pump: Unparalleled Precision and Safety for Confined Space Monitoring
The Dräger X-am Pump is an innovative accessory designed to enhance the confined space monitoring capabilities of Dräger X-am® gas detectors. This pump delivers unparalleled precision, versatility, and safety for confined space atmosphere analysis, enabling sophisticated monitoring of potential hazards to ensure safe entry and egress.
Seamless Integration with Dräger X-am Gas Detectors
The pump easily integrates with the following Dräger X-am gas monitors: 2500, 2800, 5000, 5600, and 5800. Pumping starts automatically upon connection, and the pump turns off automatically when removed from the device, without affecting the gas monitor’s measuring performance.
Convenient USB Charging and Robust Design
Charging is convenient via a standard micro-USB phone charger, with an LED indicating the charge status. A full charge takes approximately six hours. The compact size (17.5cm) and lightweight (200g) make it highly portable, while its IP67 rating ensures dust and water resistance. It performs reliably even at temperatures as low as -40°C, with a solid-cast battery protecting against damage from drops or impacts
Extended Reach for Confined Space Monitoring
Optimized for 3mm diameter hoses, the pump can sample ambient atmospheres from up to 45m distances, such as in shafts or tank systems. When combined with a Dräger X-am gas monitor, it ensures consistent and precise measuring results from a safe distance, even in the most challenging and extreme working environments.
Explosion Protection for Confined Spaces with the Dräger X-am Pump
Like its gas detector counterparts, the pump has an explosion protection approval for EX Zone 0, allowing safe use in confined spaces. In combination with the Dräger X-am 2500/2800 and X-am 5000/5600/5800, which are also approved for EX Zone 0, it enables secure and continuous monitoring of enclosed areas.
Extended Operating Time and Data Logging
The pump’s battery can last up to three weeks with 8 measurements per day or 20 hours of continuous use. Operating time, charge status, battery warnings, and flow alarms are displayed on the X-am and stored in the data logger, enabling separate evaluation of clearance measurements from personal monitoring.By integrating this pump with compatible Dräger X-am gas detectors, professionals can confidently and safely monitor confined spaces, ensuring worker safety and regulatory compliance.
